The works on this page are life drawing studies completed when I was selected to take part in a weeks drawing course at the Royal Drawing School during my third year of study at Camberwell College of Art. While there I participated in a multitude of different activities, drawing groups, single models, pairs that interacted with one another and moving subjects, all testing my comprehension and technical ability. This experience developed my skill greatly and gave me the opportunity to develop skills that I still deploy frequently in the execution of current works. I'm sure that the extra level of focus and the originality taught to me here in regard to using line and tone to convey form, helped me greatly in my success when I won the Richard Ford Award later that Summer.
